CABIN CONCEPT
The new crew cabin design aims to improve both living and working conditions on large yachts by focusing on the balance between privacy and community.
Traditional designs with separate public corridors and private cabins limit natural communication. The proposed design centralizes corridors into a crew lobby, creating a more apartment-like feel with a flexible transition between public and private spaces. A small resting/communication area connects the functional corridor to a shared lobby for four crew members, leading to the cabins, wet units, and day heads. The design emphasizes both shared interaction and individual comfort within the crew quarters.
